The BH national team captain, Edin Džeko, will miss the next two qualifying matches against Finland and Greece due to a double fracture of his cheekbone, which he won yesterday at a match between Rome and Cagliari.
The captain of our team will be undergoing surgery today and the head coach Robert Prosinečki says:
“Of course, this situation disrupts our plans and we will miss Edin, but I believe that it is even harder to him. I am familiar with everything; we are with him and we wish him a speedy and happy recovery.”
The medical team of the BH national team is in communication with Džeko and it is estimated that his recovery will take 3-4 weeks.
