This match will be Krunić’s debut on the bench of BiH U-21 team, something he’s very proud of: “First of all, thanks to FFBiH for giving me the opportunity to lead the U-21 team. That’s a great honor, but also a responsibility toward our people, because the youth team is the last stop before joining the senior team. We’re the ones who need to act as a filter and promote as many players as possible to the senior team in the future. That’s the main goal, and it’s achieved through quality performances and results.
My coaching staff and I have been following our players’ performances, and we’ve also analyzed the opponent. I believe the boys we’ve called up are the ones who can best stand up to Israel. We’ll go for the win in every game, including this one. After this camp, we’ll have a clearer picture of who we can count on going forward, and I expect the players to give their best, both in the national team and at their respective clubs.”
The team will gather on August 31 in Ljubuški.
