Many other delegations and media representatives are still arriving at Costa do Sauipe, one day before final group draw. Hotel Fun, one of the official hotels is full of the most famous football experts who eagerly await tomorrow's event.
Our, and other delegations indeed, have their wishes and expectations. What will become of it all will be revealed tomorrow.
President Elvedin Begic: "I'm so happy we advanced to the World Cup in Brazil. We are pleased to hear our contry's name and praises everywhere. This is of course world's biggest football event, and all the teams are good."
Vice president Darko Ljubojevic states that all the teams who advanced to this event is good and adds: "There are several teams that are stronger "on the paper", but also, there are five or six teams we'd like to avoid. We will see what the draw will reveal, but the favorable combinations would be Switzerland, Columbia and Algeria; however anything's possible. The most important of all is to be ambitious, because we have a good team, and we have to believe we can make a good impression, and with a little bit of luck, advance to the second round."
Another vice president, Ivan Beus was short and clear: "With some luck, I expect us to advance to the second round."
General secretary Bakovic comments on the pot allocations: "The allocations is what we have expected, we knew where we will end up. I think that regardless of opponents in our group, this will be a great challenge and trial for our players, but I'm certain they will give their best, and with that in mind, we can hope to advance to the second round. I'm positive this team won't disappoint FFBIH, our football and our nation. If we look at the first pot, everyone agrees the Switzerland would be the most appropriate opponent, and best outcome for us. I'd rather not comment on the second and third pot, but I think our players can play equally with all other teams."
He also wishes for a small amount of fortune during the draw and match locations: "It's also important to have some luck during the announcement in which cities our team will play. It would be good to avoid Manaus because of it's distance and climate conditions, but the group in whole should play as close as possible to avoid additional requirements and needs. Brazil is enormous country, and there is a lot of distance between nothern and southern cities, such as Rio, Sao Paolo and Manaus."
Staff secretary Elmir Pilav didn't want to comment much on the pot allocations because the teams are also distributed according to some regional principles, but he thinks that: "from the first pot, the Switzerland would be the best for us, but I'm sure our players will give their best to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina, FFBIH and their whole team with dignity. "
He also commented on groups and match locations: "From the organizational aspect, this will be very complex event. After the final draw, we will finalize our team's training location. But even now I can tell you this will be one of the most demanding competitions, and that is also what colleagues from far more developed and organized football federations think. In any case, FFBIH logistics and administration will give maximum effort in order to provide players and staff with best possible conditions. We are looking forward to this competition, and we are happy to participate at the World Cup in Brazil, the cradle of football."
