Marco Ferri (FIFA Regional Coordinator for Europe), and Marios Georgiou (UEFA Head of National Associations) were in attendance. Both addressed the members and praised the strong cooperation and partnership, and mutual respect between the two governing football bodies and FFBiH.
A total of 55 delegates attended the session, meaning all decisions adopted are formally valid.
Following the election of working bodies and adoption of the agenda, several key decisions were passed:
- The proposed amendments to the FFBiH Statute were adopted;
- A decision was made to expand the BiH Women’s Premier League from 8 to 10 clubs for the 2026/27 season.
- The proposed competition format for the Women’s Under-17 Premier League, set to be open from the 2026/27 season onward, was also adopted.
Due to the fact that the Ministry of Justice and Administration of Sarajevo Canton has not yet recorded the changes, or issued a formal decision verifying the new football bodies in the Canton, the conditions for appointing the FFBiH General Assembly delegates, specifically from FBiH Football Association and Sarajevo Canton Football Association for the 2025-2029 period — have not been met. Likewise, the election of an FFBiH Executive Board member from the FBiH FA (as representative of the Sarajevo Canton FA) for the same 2025-2029 mandate could not proceed. Consequently, those agenda items were not subject to a vote today.
The Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues its commitment to developing and enhancing football competitions and governance structures in line with the Federation’s strategic goals.
