Interview with Robert Prosinečki

After arriving in Bosnia and Herzegovina, now in the capacity of the selected head coach of our “A” national team, we tried to summarize the mosaic of the impressions of Robert Prosinečki in short terms. Here you can find his answers to our questions.

Mr. Prosinečki, please give us briefly your first impressions after the press conference, where you were officially presented as the head coach of our “A” national team and the first days of the new task in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“To start with, I can only say that I am very satisfied. City, people, welcome, positive vibrations. What especially impressed me was a welcome coffee with employees at the headquarters of the Federation. The atmosphere in the city, easy access, warm reception, friendly communication, that all are things that make me happy. These are the benefits that will ultimately make it easier for me to be involved and stay in the new environment.”

What did you manage to accomplish from the predicted tasks for this short time from Saturday to your return to Zagreb?

“In a very short time, from Sunday to the present day I managed to hold several very useful meetings, which created the results in the end. A broader list of the players for the tour in the USA was officially released yesterday. I also made very useful conversations with people from the Federation, who gave me all the necessary information about the activities for the forthcoming period. Of course, our goal is to get to familiarize each other at the first gathering, both the players and myself, in order to create good preconditions for quality results.”

What are your further plans after returning from the USA?

“At this moment, it is most important to play games with strong national teams, to have gatherings more often, to try to do the best in a very short period of time. For the month of March, we planned to play new games, because there are certain offers, so we will have quality checks in continuity. I return to Sarajevo in 10 days, and by then I wish everyone good, personal happiness and health above all. I wish us a lot of luck on the road that we have jointly planned and which we strive for, which is the qualification for the 2020 UEFA European Championship!”
