Today in the FF BH Training Centre in Zenica, the women's U-17 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won Greece with 1: 0 in the second round of Group 4 of the qualifications for the European Women’s U-17 Championship.
BH players made a better start, and in ten minutes they created three good opportunities, but Gavrić, Lukić and Fejzić were not precise.
Gavrić managed to pass the right-hand side in 22nd minute and centred to a goalkeeper area to Sofija Krajšumović, who sent the ball near the goal.
Bosnia and Herzegovina comes to an advantage in 31st minute. Andrea Gavrić took a free kick at about 20 meters distance, kicked in the corner of the Greek goalkeeper Vlasiadou, and the ball bounced off the goal-post to the goal net for the advantage of the BH team.
Gavrić was close to the shot also two minutes later, but this time the ball bounced from the post beside the goal.
Greece had its first chance in 36th minute when Pachaki kicked sideling on the right, but Šljivo was successful in her task and caught the ball.
Ganić also tried from a favourable position in the 38th minute, as did Gavrić in the 40th, and in both occasions the ball went above the goal.
The second half also started with a chance of an agile Andrea Gavrić, but the Greece's defending players blocked her attempt.
Christodoulou threw the ball from the free kick from the left-side in 45th minute, and the highest in the jump was Strantzali, who hit goalkeeper Iman Šljivo only five meters away.
Fejzić tried from a distance of 15 meters in 53rd minute, but the Greek goalkeeper was well placed and stopped that kick.
Lara Ganić took an excellent free kick from a distance in the 68th minute, and Vlasiadou managed to get the ball into the corner. Mujkić came alone in front of the Greek goalkeeper in 71st minute; but she managed to throw the ball into the field.
Irma Jusanović kicked well in the additional time too, but she hit the goal-post.
In the second group match, the Republic of Ireland beat Romania 2:0. Both goals were scored from the penalty kicks, and the goal-scorers were Toland and Atkinson.
The third round is scheduled for Saturday, 30th September, at 16:00 hours, when there will be the following matches: Bosnia and Herzegovina - Romania (Training Centre, Zenica) and Greece - Republic of Ireland (FK Mladost Stadium, Doboj Kakanj).
