Apart from the delegates, Zoran Laković, the director of the UEFA National Associations, the members of the advisory and mediation board, Dušan Bajević and Sead Kajtaz, the advisor to the Executive Board for football issues, Zvjezdan Misimović, representatives of the Entity Associations, and the relevant bodies and organs, were present at the session of the FF BH Assembly.
After the election of working bodies, the Election Commission found that out of the 60 delegates, the session was attended by 57, so that the Assembly had the necessary quorum to work and make decisions.
The FF BH President, Elvedin Begić, greeted all present and in his introductory address, among other things, he said:
“I always feel special when I stand in front of you, delegates from all over the country. A year ago, from this place, I told you that the unity that we had and which in the coming period should help us in realizing our plans, was extremely important.
We do not hesitate to say even when we fail, as well as when we did not reach the last World Cup. With a dedicated work and, above all, the appointment of a new head coach, we achieved an excellent result in the League of Nations last year, so we are rightly expecting the placement to the EURO. We realized numerous projects, but we have some difficulties with the Floodlighting Project, which is due to the unwillingness of both local communities and partly of clubs. Neither we nor UEFA build; we are helping, so please help us also in your communities to implement this floodlighting project.”
After the speech of President Begić, delegates were addressed by the guest from UEFA, Zoran Laković. Lakovic wished successful work for the Assembly delegates, conveyed the greetings of the President Čeferin and emphasized:
“I attended yesterday’s Executive Committee meeting and what I saw there was unity, mutual respect, open discussions and a transparent way of working. The FF BH enjoys the trust of people from UEFA and I want you to continue to work in this way. When it comes to the implementation of infrastructure projects, it must be clear that the Federation is not a construction company and cannot take over the role of other institutions. If a step is to be made in terms of infrastructure, the state must be actively involved too. I want you to qualify for the European Championship, because the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has the quality to realise it.”
The FF BH activity report was submitted by the executive director of the sports sector, Elmir Pilav.
Pilav pointed out that the work of the Federation was based on five principles: legality, integrity, legitimacy, restructuring and fair-play.
“The organs and bodies of the Federation have continuously implemented the decisions of the Executive Board with a strategy for the continuous development of football in BH. It should be said that at the end of the year, we ceremoniously opened a new office building and made a complete relocation of the Administration.
The Federation organizes and manages four joint competitions for men, as well as two for women, and also four cup competitions in different categories were organized. Some infrastructural projects have been completed, such as the installation of turnstiles at the Grbavica Stadium, and the project of improving floodlighting at the stadiums is ongoing. The Training Centre continued to be a gathering place for all national teams with a significant increase in the level of capacity utilization. When it comes to the Education Centre, a series of seminars with a large number of participants have been organized, while the club licensing process continues with quality work and consistent application of the prescribed procedures.”
After the presentations, the Assembly delegates unanimously adopted:
a) FF BH Activity Report for 2018,
b) FF BH Financial Report for 2018, and
c) FF BH Audit Report for 2018.
The FF BH General Secretary, Adnan Džemidžić presented the Work Plan of the Federation for 2019.
A member of the Finance Committee, Momir Tošić, explained the Income and Expenditure Plan for 2018 as well as the FF BH Financial Plan for 2019.
The Assembly delegates adopted:
a) FF BH Work plan for 2019,
b) FF BH Financial Plan for 2019, with a planned budget in the amount of 30.361.000 BAM,
c) Proposal of Decision on Amendments to the FF BH Statutes,
d) Proposal of Decision on Establishing of the U-19 Premier Futsal League.
Reports and plans also included video presentations, and the assessment is that the session of the Assembly was very well prepared and successfully completed an hour later.
At the end of the session, the General Secretary Adnan Džemidžić stated:
“The session was completed in record time with all of our reports and plans that were unanimously adopted. This is a confirmation of a productive work and good preparation of the session. I’m happy that we have showed unity once again. What we will strive for in the future is enlargement of the capacities in the Training Centre in Zenica. With a new building within the Training Centre and two new pitches, we will have a more comfortable situation, because we will enable all our national teams better working conditions.”
