“We tried to prepare as well as possible in the short time we had before the match. We've done a lot of analysis and had plenty of discussions among ourselves. We'll try to present ourselves in the best possible light and attempt to execute all the tactical plans we've set. Every player in the team is here for a reason, regardless of their age. We believe in the project and everyone involved in this team,” said Ninoslav Milenković.
As expected, the most media attention was drawn by Edin Džeko, who has had much success playing in England: “This is a whole new team with many young players, and everyone needs a certain amount of time. It's not easy to play against England in England and against Italians in Italy. We need to be realistic and acknowledge that these teams are favorites to win the European Championship, especially our opponents tomorrow. For us, the most important thing is for the players to get familiar with the new coach and staff's way of working in order to reach a satisfactory level. Even now at 38, just as before, playing for the national team is a great pride and dream for me. As long as I'm needed by the coach and his staff, I'm here.”
The England vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina match will be played on Monday, June 3rd at 8:45 PM CET (7:45 PM local time), with a live broadcast on BHRT.
