Panama had the first serious chance in the 16', when Nikola Vasilj made an excellent save to stop Barcenas' shot from 18 meters. The Dragons took the lead in the 23'. Amar Dedić delivered a cross, and Nikola Katić headed the ball into the net from the far post. In the 39', Esmir Bajraktarević crossed into the box, but Ermedin Demirović shot wide. In the 45', Martinez found himself one-on-one with Nikola Vasilj, who once again made an outstanding save to keep his net intact. However, in first-half stoppage time, Panama equalized. Following a corner kick from the left, the ball reached Ramos, who found the back of the Dragons' net and set the score at 1:1 heading into halftime.
In the 55', Kerim Alajbegović created space for a shot from 16 meters, but Panama's goalkeeper tipped the ball over the crossbar for a corner. Three minutes later, José Luis Rodríguez also had a good opportunity. In the 69', Demirović struck well, but goalkeeper Mosquera reacted effectively. In the 77', after a fine quick move that started from our own penalty area, Amar Memić hit the post. In the 85', Arjan Malić delivered a cross from the right, but Mosquera once again denied Demirović's header. In the 90', Alajbegović tried his luck from outside the box once more, but Mosquera again made a good save and preserved his goal.
