Vranješ played 37 matches for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and entered his first appearance on 17th November 2010 in the away win of the BH team vs. Slovakia of 3:2 in Bratislava.
He is currently a member of the Belgian Anderlecht, and he also played for Borac, Crvena Zvezda, Napredak Kruševac, Sheriff Tiraspol, Krasnodar, Alania Vladikavkaz, Elazigspor, Gaziantepspor, Sporting Gijon, Tom Tomsk and AEK.
