One of the players who was invited to the senior team for the first time is the midfielder of Polish Krakowia, Damir Sadiković
“I am positively surprised and happy about the invitation. Every football player wants to play for his national team and represents the country he loves. Indeed, I have no words to describe how I feel. I was not on the original list and when they told me that I was invited to the national team, I was surprised, but also delighted. I immediately called my parents and brother regarding the invitation; they are also overjoyed. I am here now and I am proud of that”, says Sadiković and continues:
“I was standard this season and I can be satisfied with my performances. There were victories, but also defeats and some difficult moments at the club. I played standard throughout the season and I was at a very high level in some matches. I tried hard and I think I did my job correctly.”
Sadiković is ready for his obligations in the national team:
“We finished the competition on 15th May and I had a little time to rest. I’m not in the full training process, but I’m a professional and I’m always in training. It is true that this is a specific moment, at the end of the season, but I am always ready for the national team. There is no excuse and I am sure we will all be at high level.”
This midfielder expects the team to provide the maximum:
“There are a lot of young players at this gathering. We are all very motivated and it is logical that we will give our best. No need to waste words on that. We got the opportunity to show what we know and I’m sure we will use it in the best way.”
