A press conference was held today at the FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo, where the head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national "A" football team, Sergej Barbarez, announced the lineup for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against the Netherlands and Hungary. The national team director, Emir Spahić, also addressed the media.

Barbarez stated: "We're about to face our first official games in the Nations League, and we've spent a lot of time monitoring players, analyzing, and holding numerous meetings. That's how we decided on this squad. Sead Kolašinac is injured, but he should be fine in about ten days, and I believe we can count on him. We also have two new players, Đakovac and Bajraktarević. We've been following them for a long time, and with them, we can make a step forward in a broader sense regarding our gameplay. We have important matches ahead that can mean a lot for this team, and I'm sure we're building something good."

Barbarez also included three players on a provisional list - Nail Omerović, Adrian Leon Barišić, and Emir Karić: "Since there's still time before the gathering, and the players will play several matches for their respective clubs, we decided to send three preliminary invitations. Omerović was called up in July but couldn't participate due to personal reasons. Barišić is recovering from an injury and needs some time. We fought to get Karić to play for us, but unfortunately, he's not a regular player at the moment. However, he will undoubtedly be part of this team in the future."

Emir Spahić also touched on the youth teams, mentioning that the members of the coaching staff will be announced soon. He also pointed out the importance of transitioning as many players as possible from the under-21 to the senior team.

The match against the Netherlands is scheduled for September 7 in Eindhoven, followed by the game against Hungary three days later in Budapest.
