For the most part, the Project is financed from UEFA funds and own funds of the BH FF, while a smaller part of the implementation will involve clubs and local communities that have these stadiums at their disposal.
After the tender procedure, the BH FF representatives today signed a contract with the most favourable contractor on the Project “Complete Reconstruction of Main Pitches at the Stadiums of the BH Premier League”, a consortium of bidders consisting of: Wickr Group a.s., Hellasod SA and Tarkett sports B.V.
The contract covers the first phase of works in 2022 for five stadiums: “City Stadium” Banja Luka, “Tušanj” Stadium Tuzla, “Asim Ferhatović Hase” Stadium Sarajevo, “Rođeni” Stadium Mostar and “City Stadium” Mostar.
Today, individual contracts on joint participation were also signed, i.e., co-financing of the Project with the clubs: FK “Borac” Banja Luka, FK “Sarajevo” Sarajevo and HŠK “Zrinjski” Mostar.
In the following period, the contracts will be signed by FK “Velež” Mostar and the City of Tuzla with its two clubs, FK “Sloboda” and FK “Tuzla City”.
By signing these contracts, practically as early as next week, work can begin on some stadiums, which will have state-of-the-art hybrid pitches after the completion of the Project.
Representatives of the clubs, who signed the agreements today, pointed out that this is a big step for the entire football in our country and thanked the leadership of the Federation for launching the Project.
They are also aware that the road to implementation is long, and that there will be more obstacles, but that they will do everything on their part, that they will be overcome and the works to be completed successfully.
