At the meeting, a decision was made to appoint a new coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national under-17 team; Asmir Avdukić will take over the role from Muhamed Džakmić.
Avdukić is a longtime goalkeeper who played for top-tier clubs in BiH football, and during his career made three appearances for the national "A" team, with whom he participated in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He won the national championship with Borac Banja Luka in the 2010/11 season and lifted the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup with Radnik in 2015/16. In his coaching career, he led Željezničar from Banja Luka and worked with Borac’s youth categories.
FFBiH thanks Muhamed Džakmić for his professional engagement, dedication, and contributions to the development of BiH’s cadet national teams and players.
Also, at yesterday’s session, it was decided that Damir Obad will be appointed assistant coach of the national under-21 team. Obad has previously worked with HNK Čapljina and GOŠK Gabela, where he also served as sporting director.
We believe the newly appointed professionals and coaching staff will justify the trust placed in them and contribute to the development of our country’s young national team players.
