Head coach Nermin Šabić points out that these checks showed who he can count on in the coming period:
“Unlike the first match, today we entered the match much more agile and aggressive, which gave us an advantage in the early phase of the match. Until the 60th minute, we kept a high level of play and we were very disciplined. After the substitutions, we lost the game we had and the opponent punished us. We are sorry that we dropped the victory after a good game, but we saw how much this team can do and who we can count on. I expect the players to work on themselves in the clubs and take care of their physical shape, because that will be extremely important in the qualifications.”
Midfielder Luka Misimović believes that this team is constantly improving:
“We played very well until the received goal. Unfortunately, we lost the advantage and we are all sorry that we did not achieve a better result. However, this team is progressing and I believe we are getting better with each gathering. I believe that we will be at the highest level when it is most important, in the qualifications, and that we will pass the first round. It is a great honour for me to have the opportunity to represent my country in the national team. I hope that it will be the same in the future and I am motivated, like all these players, to make good results.”
National team player, Talha Tabaković thinks similarly:
“We opened the match well, controlled the game and dictated the pace until the 60th minute. Then there was a drop in the game and we dropped the advantage. I am glad to be invited to the national team and to be part of this team. We have high expectations in the qualifications and I hope that we will achieve success and continue with the results made by generations of cadets before us.”
