BH women’s U-19 national team convincing at the opening of qualifications

Today, the women’s U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated the appropriate national team of Armenia in the first round of the group B6 qualifications for the European Championship 2022 with a convincing 13:0 at the Bijeli Brijeg Stadium in Mostar.

The BH team gained the advantage in the 6th minute when Almasa Pandžić managed to hit the net directly from the corner from the right side. Only two minutes later, Vanessa Šabanović doubled the advantage with the assistance of Marija Ana Milinković.

Dragan Jevtić’s team did not give up and through Maja Jelčić reached a convincing 3:0 in the 11th minute, and Milinković registered the second assistance.

Marija Ana Milinković entered the list of scorers in the 15th minute with an excellent shot from a distance, and in the 23rd minute she scored the fifth goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jelčić increased it to 6:0 in the 24th minute. By the end of the first half, the B Hteam scored two more goals by Šabanović in the 30th and Jelčić in the 35th minute.

The BiH national team scored 5 more goals in the second half. Sidney Japić (47th and 90th+3) and Elma Huremović (60th and 78th) entered the list of scorers twice, and Elma Husić scored one goal in the 54th minute from the penalty spot.

In the second match of the group, Montenegro beat Estonia 2:0 in Široki Brijeg.

The second round is scheduled for 25th October at 14:30 h. Bosnia and Herzegovina will play with Estonia at the “Pecara” in Široki Brijeg, while the match Montenegro-Armenia will be played in Mostar.
