In the first half, Montenegro was a slightly better opponent and had more ball in its possession, which resulted in two good opportunities that they had through Adžić and Đukanović in the 17th and 19th minute. B&H had a good opportunity through Subotić in the 30th minute.
The team of Igor Janković took the lead in the 67th minute, when Darije Markočević took advantage of the confusion in the Montenegrin defence and brought his team to the lead. The home team’s advantage lasted only 3 minutes, because Stefan Đukanović equalized the result from a free kick from approximately 25 meters.
