The Dragons took the lead in the 35^th minute. Captain Kerim Alajbegović accurately took a free kick from about 25 meters and hit the opponent's net for 1:0. The Slovenians equalized the result in the 42^nd minute through Niko Podlesnik.

In the second half, the score did not change, and the guests ended the match with ten players, because Flavio Junčaj received a second yellow card for a foul in the 83^rd minute.

After the match, the head coach of the U-17 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Admir Raščić, said:

“Today was the tenth match played between the U-17 national teams of B&H and Slovenia, in which our national team has never celebrated a victory, and today it was the first time they scored a goal. I am satisfied with this match. Certainly, the result could have been better, because we had several big opportunities and I’m sorry we didn’t take them. In today’s match, the new players got a chance to show their knowledge and quality and they presented themselves in a great way. We are counting on them for the qualifications in March and I believe that we will all achieve the desired goal together.”
