Elite youth players from the Sarajevo region at the camp in Zenica

Yesterday, elite youth players, born in 2007, from the Sarajevo region gathered at the FF BH Training Centre in Zenica.

The head of the UEFA elite youth players development project, Darko Ljubojević, says about this camp:

“According to the established plan and program, we continue with the implementation of the UEFA project which refers to work with elite young players. This is our first gathering this year, and by the end of the year we will include other BH regions. Regardless of the situation with the coronavirus, last year we managed to realize the project. Now we have started working with a new generation of players and I believe that in compliance with all epidemiological measures, we will successfully do everything we have planned.”

Apart from Ljubojević, coaches Denis Malešević, Vernes Salkičević, Sedin Torlak and Ratko Dujković work with the players at this camp.

“We are working according to the program we received from UEFA and it is important for us that the boys who are here feel what it means to be in the national team camp, and to get acquainted with the way of working at this level. These camps also serve the technical staff of the U-15 national team, as a kind of pre-selection of players. First impressions of the boys are good and we work in a nice atmosphere. Although these are younger players, some of them have already performed in the BH Premier U-15 League, so we believe that there are quality and talented football players in this generation”, said Vernes Salkičević.

The following players have been invited to the camp:

Aldin Aleta, Hassan Muharemović, Emir Omerkić, Bakir Koso, Sanjin Muzaferija, Amar Cerić, Dejan Trapara, Benjamin Zijadić, Dino Grebović, Afan Fočo, Sanin Mešić, Amin Ganić, Bakir Softić, Ali Mangafić, Jusuf Terzić, Petar Radoš, Stefan Kujača, Ognjen Erbez, Nikola Lale, Adin Čajić, Emir Habibović, Anel Kovač, Faris Borovac, Mustafa Bistrivoda i Alem Džafić.

Invitations were also sent to Čelik players, Deni Petrović and Imad Piljug, but they did not come to yesterday’s gathering.

The camp will last until Tuesday, 11th May, and in addition to practical work, the football players will also attend a lecture on the topic of “Injury Prevention”.
