The U-21 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play a friendly match with the appropriate team of Azerbaijan at the FF BH Training Centre in Zenica on 19th November at 13:00 h.
The head coach Vinko Marinović says on the upcoming match:
“A good thing is that we have several players from the previous qualifications, who still have the right to play for the U-21 team. A match with Azerbaijan will serve us to see what available players we have, and the players who will be invited should compete and show that they deserve to be here. Of course, this is just a beginning, and we will surely try certain players, who are not on the list for a match with Azerbaijan, in some future gatherings.”
Marinović also referred to previous qualifications:
“We played a lot of good matches in the previous period and we have a few players who crossed into the “A” team and some who are close to follow their steps. By the end of the qualification, we were in the game for the next stage and it was a pity that we did not win at least one match against Romania, which might take us to the play-off. Nevertheless, it was a heavy group with strong teams and I hope that this time we will have more luck in the draw, but that we will continue to provide quality games.”
