The FF BH executive director of the sports sector, Elmir Pilav, and senior expert associate for national teams, Darko Ljubojević, met in the “House of Football” in Sarajevo with Barbarić and members of the technical staff of the U-19 team, Zoran Dragišić, Admir Raščić and Goran Brašnić .
At the meeting, the actions for the next period were specified and agreed upon, with the aim of creating the national team that will compete for qualification for the European Championship in the next qualification cycle.
Ivica Barbarić approaches the new job with a lot of enthusiasm:
“I gladly accepted to be the head coach of the U-19 national team, because I am motivated to work with young players, and this age is especially interesting. Today we made the first contact and the meeting with my future associates and representatives of the Federation was constructive. We exchanged thoughts, we have the same ideas and I believe that we will have good cooperation in the future”, says Barbarić.
The U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have the national teams of the Republic of Ireland, Bulgaria and Montenegro in the qualifications for EURO 2021/22 in Group 6 in November this year.
