A flower-laying ceremony was held at Stup Cemetery to pay tribute to the legendary Škija, whose name and legacy live on through this tournament, which brings together young football talents from across the region.
Alongside the FFBiH delegation, led by General Secretary Adnan Džemidžić, the event was attended by Katalinski’s wife, Jasna Katalinski, as well as representatives of football federations whose teams are competing in the tournament.
The "Josip Katalinski-Škija" tournament, now in its 13th edition, continues to gather youth teams, preserving the memory of this great figure in BiH football. It also provides young players with valuable international experience and promotes the sporting values Katalinski championed throughout his distinguished career.
The competition kicks off today at the FFBiH Training Center in Zenica. The first semifinal begins at 10:30, featuring Montenegro vs the City of Belgrade team. The second semifinal will be played at 13:00, with Bosnia and Herzegovina national team facing the Sarajevo and East Sarajevo team.
