In the first half, both teams created one chance. The guests threatened first in the 10th minute, when Ivan Vukčević shot asquint from the right, but Luka Kačavenda defended his shot.
In the 23rd minute, Andrej Đokanović came out on the five-meter area in front of the goalkeeper of Montenegro Sergej Joksimović who managed to throw the ball into the corner.
The team of Bosnia and Herzegovina came to advantage in the 63rd minute. The ball bounced to Andrija Drlje who, from the edge of the penalty area on the right side, precisely shot for 1:0.
After a corner-kick in the 85th minute, Amer Habibović shot by head from 5 meter, but the ball ended up in the hands of the goalkeeper of Montenegro, and this was the last chance at the match.
After the match, the head coach of the BH team, Slaven Musa, stated:
“We can be satisfied with the result. We showed two faces in this match. In the first half we did not present ourselves well, everything was sluggish and slow. The second half was something better. We scored a goal and played with more energy, and that was brought by our players who entered the game. Several guys showed that we could count on them in the future.”
