Head coach Vinko Marinović said ahead of today’s training session:
“We will be prepared as much as possible for the match ahead. Wales is a team that showed two faces in qualifications so far. They beat Belgium at home, which means they are a serious team. There are mostly players from English Premier League teams. They have a lot of good and quality football players; they are fast in the attack phase. On the other hand, they lost agianst Moldova. They have a slightly younger squad and the oscillations in the game may be normal. Our goal is to play there as best we can and make a favourable result.”
After missing the previous gathering due to injury, the speedy wing striker Amar Ćatić returned to the team.
“I’m glad to be here again and my shoulder is well now, I am fully recovered. We need to prepare ourselves as closely as possible for the next match. The team atmosphere is high, which makes things a lot easier. We have yet to analyse the next opponent, but I believe that we are of sufficient quality and can win Wales”, said Ćatić.
