U-17 national team unsuccessful against Hungary

The U-17 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated today in Telki by Hungary with 1:3 in the third-round match of Group 13 of the first qualifying round for EURO 2024.

The only goal for the BH team was scored by Sergej Ignatkov in the 61st minute, while Kevin Mondovics scored twice for Hungary in the 33rd and 47th, and Barnabas Barkoczi in the 78th minutes.

Head coach Admir Raščić fielded the following team line-up today: Mladen Jurkas, Petar Đukanović, Jusuf Terzić, Adel Šovšić, Ivan Kraljević (87th, Vuk Ćorić), Dušan Petrović, Sergej Ignatkov, Afan Fočo, Kerim Alajbegović (52nd, Sanin Mešić), Dragan Pejić (87th, Džan Kiridžić), Amel Ćorić (75th, Vukašin Gostimirović).

In the second match of the group, Bulgaria beat Andorra 2:1.

The first place in the group was won by Bulgaria with 7 points ahead of Hungary with 6 and those two national teams qualified for the elite qualifying round. The BH team finished in third place with 4 points, and depending on the results in the other groups, it will be known in November whether our cadets will be among the five best third-placed teams that will also advance to the next round.
