The U-18 national team players, led by the head coach Slaven Musa, were the first to run on the pitch.
Preparations are carried out according to special recommendations of the FF BH Committee for Sports Medicine in accordance with all health and epidemiological procedures.
The coach in the technical staff of the BH junior team, Vedin Musić, points out that it is important that the team is together again:
“We missed this way of working with the players, especially because we had entered a training process and started with friendly matches and preparations for qualifications. We had a plan and program on how to prepare for the official matches ahead of the U-18 and U-19 national team players. Unfortunately, the situation with the coronavirus has disturbed us all, but we are happy to be together again. We will use the opportunity to do this action as well as possible and see to whom we can count on in the coming period.”
Musić also adds:
“After such a break, it is natural that it will take a little more time for the players to return to the shape they were in. It is certain that they all worked individually, but regardless of that, the most important thing is that they return to the normal training process. It’s not the same when you have to work without a pitch and a ball. This gathering is an ideal opportunity for the boys to slowly return to the level they were at.”
Goalkeeper Luka Damjanović is happy to be at the national team gathering again:
“We all wanted to get together and I’m glad we got together again after three months. It was difficult in the past period, but I was lucky to be able to work in the yard and keep fit according to the program I received from the coach. I have been training with the first team of Borac for some time now and I can be satisfied with my physical condition.”
National team player Faruk Hodžić was also active in the past period:
“It has been difficult in the past three months, but we have been working and I believe that this break will not affect us too much. The club provided us with online training sessions to keep us in shape. We have very good players in this generation and I believe that we will be ready when it is most needed and that we will achieve good results.”
Hodžić added that he used the excess of free time to learn foreign languages.
The U-18 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will prepare in the Zenica Training Camp until 16th June, and after them, the U-19 players will gather.
