France-Bosnia and Herzegovina 1:1

Victory of the pioneers

The pioneers of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated their peers from Montenegro 1:0 today in Trebinje, with a goal by Andrej Mičić in the 77th minute.

The team of Igor Janković team played a much better match than two days ago, when the result was 1:1, and they crowned this preparatory cycle in Trebinje with a victory.

Montenegro had the first opportunity in the match in the 4th minute, when after Camaj’s cross from the right, Ajduković shot with his head over the goal. Only a minute later, BH retaliated through Beganović, who shot from over 30 meters, and the goalkeeper of the Montenegrins, Božinović, turned the ball under the crossbar into the corner with the utmost effort.

In the continuation of the half, the “small dragons” had the initiative on the field, they controlled the game, but they did not manage to create significant opportunities. It is worth mentioning a shot of Subotić in the 26th minute from 18 meters, which Božinović tamed without any problems.

The continuation of the match was also played mostly in the middle of the pitch. Many solid duels were seen, but also mistakes on both sides.

When it seemed that the match was going to end without goals, the BH pioneers managed to score in the 77th minute. After the action on the left side, Rijad Kasumović crossed excellently, and the reserve player Andrej Mićić, who entered the game only a few moments before, sent the ball behind the goalkeeper of Montenegro with a header from five-meter for 1:0.

After this match and mini preparations in Trebinje, the head coach Igor Janković did not hide his satisfaction:

“I congratulate my players who left their heart and the last atom of strength on the field today. This is their 13th game in the last 28 days, counting championship and national team matches. That’s too much for seniors as well, let alone for 15-year-old boys. We managed on the pitch much better and looked like a team than two days ago. There were mistakes in the second part of the match, but I repeat, all this is normal when you play every second day. All in all, I am satisfied, because these guys showed that they have good material for the future of the BH football.”
