The questions of the journalists were answered by the head coach Vinko Marinović and the players Kerim Memija and Marko Mihojević.
Vinko Marinović spoke about the health conditions:
“Dujaković had left before, but we hoped Jukić would be ready for at least one match, but we will not be able to count on him. Peco will be available, and that’s about the health conditions.”
The head coach then referred to the opponent:
“It always happens that some players play, and some have less playing time in their clubs. I am sure that all those, who will be on the field tomorrow, will give their maximum. We will strive to hold the ball with good and quality defence and transition forward. We have been good with this in the previous part of the qualifications. Switzerland is a quality team. We have to be careful during all 90 minutes of tomorrow’s match.”
Kerim Memija expects a positive result:
“I invite fans to support us in a match that is very important for us. All players are aware that we have a great opportunity and how little we need to make a success. Therefore, tomorrow we must give our maximum and respect all that we arrange in the dressing room. There is nothing to fear, we can achieve a positive result.”
Marko Mihojević also invited fans to support the team and stated:
“It's a great honour for every player who plays for any national team. Every time I’m in the team, I do my best, and so are all the players in this team. For this reason, we can hope for a positive result. We analysed the opponent and we are aware that they have a strong team. With the new head coach, they changed the game system, and they also have very fast offensive players. It will not be easy, but we believe in success.”
After the press conference, the U-21 team held a training session.
