Head coach of the U-21 team, Vinko Marinović, says about tomorrow’s opponent:
“We made quality preparations. Tomorrow, we expect a match with a strong team whose players mainly play in English Premier League clubs. In these qualifications they beat Belgium, which is also a confirmation of their quality. However, we also have our goals and we will do our best to reach the points tomorrow.”
Defender Besim Šerbečić also expects a positive result:
“We made good use of our time in Sarajevo and prepared well for the match. We know the good and bad sides of tomorrow’s opponent and we will try to use those bad ones. We hope a favourable result for us. We can be pleased with the qualifications matches, so we must show quality against Wales as it is one of our key matches in this cycle.”
The U-21 teams of B&H and Wales have met 6 times so far and both teams have three wins each. The goal difference is 9:8 in Wales’ favour.
Tomorrow’s match will be refereed by Georgios Kominis from Greece.
