BH female seniors drew with the Czech Republic

The women’s “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina played tie 2:2 with the Czech Republic tonight away in Hradec Kralove, in the fourth-round match of Group B4 of the UEFA Nations League.

The She-Dragons performed with a black flora around their arms in memory of the former national team player Amela Fetahović-Žgoljo, who lost her life in a traffic accident on 4th November two years ago.

Our national team players continued with excellent games in the Nations League. Already in the 2nd minute of the match, Aida Hadžić had a great shot from over 20 meters, but her attempt was deflected into the corner by the goalkeeper of the Czech Republic. Amela Kršo, in the 5th minute, after a solo breakthrough, shot diagonally from the left side, but Olivia Lukašova was once again up to the task.

Samira Hurem’s initiative at the beginning of the match paid off in the 6th minute. Again, Kršo entered the opponent's penalty area from the left side and sent the ball to the five-meter area, where captain Milena Kršo reacted in the best way and scored a goal.

In the 14th minute, the Czechs also threatened for the first time when Gabriela Slajsova crossed from the right, and Franny Černa hit the post with her head. In the 28th minute, Kršo once again crossed for Nikolić, whose header from a favourable position was not accurate.

The home team equalized the score in the 31st minute. After the corner, the ball reached Kamila Dubcova, who was accurate from about seven meters for 1:1.

By the end of the first half, Dajana Spasojević also had a good attempt from distance in the 43rd minute, but Lukašova stopped her shot.

The BH team opened the second period of the game better too. In the 51st minute, Emina Ekić, after excellent dribbling on the left side, sent the ball into the five-meter area for Milena Nikolić, who scored another goal for the She-Dragon’s new lead.

In the 67th minute, Franny Černa did well in the penalty area of our national team and sent the ball behind Jelena Gvozderac for the final 2:2.

With this draw, She-Dragons kept the first place in the table with 8 points, ahead of the Czech Republic, which won a point less. In the continuation of the competition, Bosnia and Herzegovina will play with Slovenia away on 1st December, and with Belarus on 5th December on the home field.
