Ewa Pajor put the home side ahead in the 15’, but the Dragonesses equalized through Sofija Krajšumović in the 40’.
Poland came out strong after the break, scoring twice quickly via Pajor (47’) and Adriana Achcinska (49’). Klaudia Slowinska added the fourth in the 77’, and Martyna Wiankowska sealed the final score in the 89’.
After the match, coach Selver Hodžić said: “We were tactically solid in the first half and we played great for 45 minutes. But then we conceded twice right after the break, and it was hard to recover. Physically, we dropped off and had to rotate a lot. Poland is the strongest team we've faced since I took over the team and they deserved to win. We need to lift our heads and prepare for the next game on Tuesday. If we repeat our first-half performance, I believe we’ll do better.”
In the other group match, Romania and Northern Ireland drew 1:1 in Bucharest. Poland leads the table with 9 points, Northern Ireland’s second with 4, Bosnia and Herzegovina has 3, and Romania sits last with 1 point.
Round 4 is scheduled for April 8. BiH will host Poland at the FFBiH Training Center in Zenica, while Northern Ireland will face Romania in Belfast.
