Head coach Selver Hodžić’s players have already arrived in Liechtenstein, where they’re completing final preparations with the aim of getting back on track and staying in the race for the top of the table.
Hodžić emphasized the need for a response after the previous loss: “We’re aware we weren’t at the required level against Lithuania, and we’ve analyzed that. I expect the players to react, first of all in approach and energy on the pitch. Liechtenstein is an opponent we must take very seriously regardless of the standings. I believe we have the quality to play a good match and get a positive result.”
Captain Milena Nikolić stressed the importance of team reaction and unity: “A tough game is behind us and a result that affected all of us, but what matters now is how we respond. The atmosphere in the team is good, we’re working with focus and motivation. We know what we want and I believe we’ll show it on the field. This match is very important and we’ll give our best to take three points. We learned our lesson in Lithuania, and our goal is to win all remaining matches and finish first in the group.”
After three rounds, Bosnia and Herzegovina sits second in Group C1 with six points, while Liechtenstein has none. The match in Vaduz is a chance for another step forward and to continue the push for qualification to a major tournament.
