In the break between training sessions, the BH female seniors spent time with other activities, billiards, table football, playing cards...
However, the coach in the technical staff of the “A” team, Ivan Kvesić, confirmed to us that serious work was being done in Zenica:
“We have made preparations in Zenica for the match with Bulgaria and now we are going to Sofia. The players did a great job in training sessions, they took the preparations seriously. We hope to win in Bulgaria. Before this match we had two checks against Albania and Hungary as part of the qualifying preparations. We will try to schedule another friendly match with Northern Macedonia in the eighth month and I am sure we will be ready for qualifications.”
Captain Milena Nikolić stated:
“Since I played a game for the club on Sunday, I joined the preparations a little later. The atmosphere in the team is, as always, very good and we prepared well for the match. We are sorry that Marija Aleksić was injured and, unfortunately, we will not be able to count on her in this match and in the next qualifications. It will be a big loss for our team, because she is one of the players who carries the game of this national team. We wish her a speedy recovery. This time, we will also miss the goalkeeper Dijana Haračić, who plays in America, and due to COVID-19 measures, she could not join us for the match with Bulgaria.”
National team player, Melisa Hasanbegović:
“A friendly match with Bulgaria awaits us, and there was a relaxed but working atmosphere during the preparations. There are also some younger players and Bulgaria will be a good opportunity for them to show themselves and justify the head coach’s invitation. The match in Sofia will be a good test for us and a strong preparation for the upcoming qualifiers, in which we hope for good performances.”
The match Bulgaria-Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for 11th June at 18:00 h at the Boyana Stadium in Sofia.
