After the play-off match for the World Cup with Wales, in which the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by a minimum of 1:0 after extra time, head coach Samira Hurem said:

“I congratulate my players for their combativeness and commitment in tonight’s match. They showed character and played at a very high level. They really gave it their utmost and that was the approach that should be shown by everyone wearing a jersey with the national emblem. Although we lost the match, I am sure that women’s football in Bosnia and Herzegovina will gain a lot in the future with these players.”
