After the first 45 minutes, the home team led by one goal, thanks to Brenna McPartlan's score in the 15th minute. The second half started perfectly for our team, turning the game around. Emina Ekić equalized in the 46th minute following an assist from Selma Kapetanović, and just three minutes later, Marija Ana Milinković put Bosnia and Herzegovina ahead. However, Northern Ireland managed a late comeback, with Simone Magill scoring in the 89th and again in the stoppage time to secure the victory.
After the match, head coach Selver Hodžić commented: "The opponent was slightly better in the first half, but we conceded from a corner, which surprised us because we're usually strong in that aspect of the game. We came out braver and more aggressive in the second half, which quickly led to a turnaround. We controlled the game but unfortunately couldn't score a third goal. In the end, a lapse in concentration cost us, and we conceded twice from long balls. It's disappointing, but that's football."
In the other group match, Poland won 1:0 away in Bucharest against Romania. Poland leads with 6 points, while Northern Ireland and BiH have 3 each. Romania remains without points.
he third round is scheduled for April 4, with Bosnia and Herzegovina visiting Poland and Romania hosting Northern Ireland.
