Head coach Selver Hodžić and players Gloria Slišković and Ena Šabanagić addressed the media.
Hodžić said, among other things: "The match in Portugal was played in a great atmosphere. The girls followed what we asked of them, we created some opportunities, but the opponent deservedly won. We analyzed what we could have done better, and now we're looking forward to the match against Northern Ireland. It's a completely different style of play compared to the previous game. The Irish play hard, focusing on long balls, but I believe they don't have the strategy like Portugal does. I’m sure we’ll be ready to play a good match."
The coach also commented on the injury report: " In the match against Portugal, Melisa Hasanbegović, Marija Ana Milinković, and Maja Jelčić were injured. We hope they'll be ready for tomorrow, but we'll have a clearer picture after today's training."
Gloria Slišković stated: "We have a tough match behind us. We knew who our opponent was and how good they were, but we always aim to win. Unfortunately, we didn't succeed, but in such events and atmosphere, we gain experience and grow as a team. We can't wait to run out onto our field and play with Northern Ireland. Our goal is victory in front of our fans."
Ena Šabanagić shares similar thoughts: "Portugal is a great team. We wanted to win, however the opponent was better, and they deservedly took the points. We're focusing on the next match. I believe we have the quality to achieve victory, and it's certain that all players will give their best."
The Dragonesses will have their training session at 16:30.
