UEFA aims to reach 5,000 professional players and establish six professional leagues in Europe by 2030. President Aleksander Čeferin said this new strategy will lay the foundation for women’s football’s full potential, adding: “As we enter this exciting new era, we must continue with the same passion that’s brought us this far. Our commitment to the cause remains as strong as ever. Our mission is simple - to help women’s football secure a prominent place in Europe.”
Nadine Kessler, UEFA’s head of women’s football, said: “European women’s football is in a better place than ever. National teams and clubs are thriving thanks to major investments, improved competition structure, and more new opportunities for professional play. Football has become a sport for the masses, with a growing, diverse fan base and partners who undoubtedly contribute to its growth.”
With UEFA’s support, FFBiH has developed its own women’s football strategy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, titled “Our Time, Our Turn”, which was officially presented recently during the women’s national "A" team’s preparations.
FFBiH joins the ranks of national associations actively working to enhance, develop, and promote women’s football at all levels.
Women’s Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati, among other players, has endorsed “Unstoppable” campaign, with our own Milena Nikolić and Emina Ekić also joining in the promotion.
