BH female cadets better than Northern Macedonia

The women’s U-17 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won appropriate team of Northern Macedonia with 3:1 in a friendly match in Zenica today.

All three goals for the BH team were scored by Ana Marija Milinković.

Already in the 2nd minute, the BH team had a good chance, when Maja Jelčić passed through on the left and sent the ball to Jovana Stevanović who was not precise.

Jelčić tried asquint on the left in the 14th minute, but hit the outside of the net.

Naida Haračić tried from a free kick in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper of Northern Macedonia, Verica Kolevska, was well placed and caught the ball.

In the 27th minute, Milinković from a distance of about 10 meters hit the goalpost of the Macedonians.

The elected ones of Ilija Lucić came to the advantage in the 30th minute. Almasa Pandžić came from the left, but Ana Marija Milinković scored a goal by head.

In the 32nd minute, Jelčić came alone in front of the Macedonian goalkeeper, but Kolevska blocked her shot from the edge of the penalty area.

In the 34th minute, Milinković fought for the 16-meter shot position and scored the second goal for the BH team.

The second half started with an opportunity for B&H. Jelčić, with a lob kick, sent a ball from the edge of the penalty area beside the goal.

Jelčić also tried in the 52nd minute, after a pass of Naida Haračić, but once again the ball passed beside the post.

Anida Idrizi made a corner kick from the right side in the 60th minute and Ana Miličevska sent the ball by head into the net and reduced the advantage of the BH team.

The BH cadets had a good chance after a corner kick in the 76th minute too. Haračić threw in the ball, and Elvira Hasanović sent it by head beside the goal.

Ana Marija Milinković scored the third goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 79th minute with a precised shot from twenty meters and set the final result of the match.

At the end of the match, the head coach Ilija Lucić stated:

“I congratulate the players on their victory. Although the weather was difficult for the game, I expected our better game. However, every victory is more or less important. On Friday we play a new match and I hope for the better game of our players.”

The same teams will play another match at the Zenica Training Camp on Friday, 28th June, at 10:00 h.
