After the match, the head coach Ilija Lucić said:
“I congratulate the Slovenian national team on their victory. We lacked a bit of luck, because we conceded a goal in the last moments of the match. We had a chance, we were leading, but unfortunately the opponent did better after the penalties. This is the first international match for this team. There is potential there, but it needs a lot of work. It is necessary that they come to these gatherings much more prepared, because Slovenia was physically better than us. I hope that we will make good cooperation with the clubs, in order to give them information on what they need to work on when it comes to these players.”
