Bosnia and Herzegovina once again got the opportunity to organize a major football competition under the auspices of UEFA.

After the European Championship for female cadets in 2022, the BH FF once again received the trust of UEFA, because, yesterday, at the regular session of the Executive Committee of the European umbrella house of football, a decision was made that EURO 2026 for female players under the age of 19 will be held in our country.

“We have once again been shown the trust of UEFA and it will be a great honour for us to once again organize a major UEFA competition”, says the BH FF president Vico Zeljković and continues:

“Last year, we organized the European Championship for female cadets at a very high level, so I have no doubt that in 2026 we will be even better, because the BH FF has the capacity to organize such significant events. We will also use the opportunity to further promote women’s football among the younger population. I would like to thank UEFA, headed by President Aleksander Čeferin, as well as the director of national associations, Zoran Laković, for the trust shown, and it is up to us to work with all our might to bring the organization of this competition to the highest possible level and once again send a beautiful image to the world from Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
