Convincing victory of BH female cadets

Today in Ugljevik, the U-17 women’s national team defeated the corresponding team of Kazakhstan with 5:0 in the third-round match of Group B2 of the second qualifying round for the European Championship.

In the 16th minute, Una Rankić made an excellent pass through the middle, entered the opponent’s penalty area, and hit the net for 1:0. The same player doubled the advantage of the BH team in the 31st minute from the penalty spot, which was preceded by a foul in the penalty area by Ailine Zharkynbek against Nina Pupić.

Ilija Lucić’s team continued to attack in the second half and, in the 50th minute, the ball reached Lina Hadžikadunić, who scored the third goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina from about 8 meters away. In the 70th minute, Nina Brnić took a corner from the right side, and Una Rankić reacted perfectly at the other post and scored a hat trick. Nina Brnić made it 5:0 from a free kick from the right in the 76th minute.

In the second match of the group, Montenegro beat Azerbaijan 6:1.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina finished the tournament in first place with a maximum of 9 points, and will compete in League A next season in the first round. Montenegro won 6 points, Azerbaijan 3, and Kazakhstan 0.
