Female juniors ready for the tournament

The women’s U-19 national team players of Bosnia and Herzegovina held the last training session in Mostar today as part of the preparations for the B6 qualifying tournament for the 2022 European Championship.

The BH juniors will play the first match against the Armenian national team at the Bijeli Brijeg Stadium tomorrow at 16:30 h, while Estonia and Montenegro will play at the "Pecara" in Široki Brijeg at the same time.

The head coach Dragan Jevtić points out that his team is not running away from the role of the favourite in the tournament:

“We have before us qualifications that are, we can say, the culmination of everything we have done in the past year. We have been in Mostar since Thursday, where we did 4 training session, but only today we completed the team. Not all the players have been with us since the beginning of the preparations due to their obligations to their clubs. As for the tournament, we are the favourites and we have good and quality players. We made a good national team and everything except the first place in the group would be a failure for us”, says Jevtić and continues:

"We are not afraid of the opponents; we showed quality in the past period. We achieved the same number of victories in the last eight control matches. If all the players are healthy and ready, we will not have any problems in this tournament. We are also familiar with the qualities of our opponents; we know what awaits us. We are optimistic and we believe that we will achieve our goals and that we will be the winners of the tournament.”

On the eve of tomorrow’s match, captain Naida Haračić says:

“Preparations went in the best order and the atmosphere in this national team is great. We hope that we will open the qualifications in the best way tomorrow and that we will win three points. We are the favourites in the group, this team has a winning mentality and we are very optimistic about the qualifications.”
