Female Seniors Successful In Podgorica

Regional gatherings for female players under 13

The FF BH organizes camps for female players up to 13 years of age from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Regional teams from 4 regions have been formed and had their first gatherings last week, and those gatherings will be organized twice a month by the end of the 2019/20 competition year. The tournament is scheduled to take place in June 2020, with participation of all regional teams.

The FF BH football development associate, Ivana Vlaić, says about these regional gatherings:

“It is a project that is a part of the implementation of the women’s football development strategy. This is a strategy adopted this year by the FF BH Executive Board with the aim of increasing the number of female players and developing national teams. Regional gatherings of young female players are a good base for the development of our women’s national teams.”

Vlaić also added:

“With establishing of these regional teams, we want to select talented players as soon as possible, and to continuously work on their development, in order to better prepare them for what awaits them later in national teams. It is planned that in the coming period, in addition to U-13, we will start with U-15 regional gatherings. In a way, we are already starting to work with female players who will be able to compete at the European Cadet Championships in 2022, which will be held in our country.”

The project manager is Samira Hurem, the head coach of the women’s “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the first meetings of regional teams participated the following:
