Second place for BH female pioneers at the Development Tournament

The women’s U-15 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated the corresponding team of Bulgaria 3:0 today in Hadžići in the third-round match of the UEFA Development Tournament.

Emilija Halilhodžić scored two goals in the 44th and 56th minute, and Ana Vulić also shook the opponent’s net in the 50th minute.

The following performed for Bosnia and Herzegovina: Ivana Dumančić (46th, Vanja Stojanović), Marija Šekarić (64th, Jelena Blagojević), Alma Karić, Adrijana Novaković (46th, Jovana Filipović), Ana Dumančić, Hana Mešan (64th, Dunja Gagić), Emilija Halilhodžić (64th, Sanja Mušić), Ana Vulić (64th, Hurija Hodžić), Josipa Čutura (64th, Teodora Novaković), Admira Selman (46th, Lamija Bjelica), Elma Džanko (46th, Marija Maksimović).

Head coach Ilija Lucić said about the performance of the female pioneers in this tournament:

“I am satisfied with how the girls played these matches. They have shown that they have talent and we continue to work with them so that they can progress even more. They played today’s match very well and I congratulate them on their victory. This is a development tournament and I believe that it fulfilled its goal and that these young players gained new experience, because they had the opportunity to compete with their peers from other countries. All in all, this was a quality tournament and we had a lot to see.”

In today’s second match, Slovakia beat Andorra convincingly 5:1.

The BH female pioneers finished the tournament in second place with 6 points, behind Slovakia, which won 9, and ahead of Andorra with 3 and Bulgaria with no points.
