The U-19 women’s team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated today in Ethno village Stanišići by the Czech Republic with 0:2, within the first round of the qualifying group 4 for the 2019 European Championship.
In the first half, Klara Cvrčkova had the best chance in the 32nd minute, when she came out alone before the BH goalkeeper Iman Šljivo, who intervened well and saved her net. BH had a solid attempt over Marija Damjanović, but the attacker of our U-19 team was not precise.
Eliška Dvorakova hit the crossbar from the distance of 20 meters in the 57th minute, and Nikola Hladikova had a good try after a corner kick one minute later, but Šljivo was at the height of the task once again.
After a free kick for the Czech Republic in the 62nd minute, the highest in the jump was Katerina Kotrčova whose kick from the five-meter area Šljivo threw into the corner.
The advantage for the Czech Republic was brought by Klara Cvrčkova in the 66th minute, when, after a break, she passed the ball by head into the net from about 7 meters.
On the assistance of Aneta Pochmanova in the 75th minute, Hladikova was in a good chance, but she sent the ball from the right side next to the goal.
The advantage was doubled by Simona Novotna in the 79th minute, when, from the left side of the five-meter area of the BH team, she passed the ball into the net for the final 0:2.
After finishing the match, the head coach Dragan Jevtić stated: “In the first half, we managed to match a very high quality Czech team. We fought, we did our utmost, but the opponent was better and deservedly won what I congratulate. This is our reality. We will try to raise the team and get ready for the next matches where we will, I hope, show a better game.”
In the second match of the group, Norway beat Georgia 7:0. The second round is scheduled for 5th October at 15:00 h, when Norway versus BH (Ethno Village Stanišići) and Czech Republic versus Georgia (Ugljevik) will play.
