The only goal in the match was scored by Minela Gačanica in the 15th minute. The captain of our U-19 team received the ball well ten meters from the opponent’s goal, freed from her guard and hit the net of the Slovenians from the right side for 1:0.
By the end of the first half, both teams had several attempts, but failed to create a more serious opportunity.
The same picture was seen in the other 45 minutes, and except an attempt by the head kick of the BH team member, Marija Damjanović, there were no chances.
The BH team improved the impression today, compared to the first match with Slovenia, which was played two days ago, when the guests won 4:0.
The head coach Dragan Jevtić said after the end of the match: “They played much better than two days ago. The Slovenes showed today that they were a great team, but we also saw our faults, which reflected to the game and the result. These matches will serve us well as preparations for the October qualifications. Nevertheless the results from the matches are not important, it is always better to win for the sake of atmosphere and self-confidence. I am happy and that the players showed their dedication and fighting spirit. There were some mistakes even now, but we will be removing them in the upcoming period.”
