After today’s match, the head coach Dragan Jevtić stated:
“In the announcement, we said that we are not running away from the role of the favourite, that’s how we set ourselves up, and in the end, the result of today’s match shows that. We are satisfied with the approach of the players in this match and the way they played. The result after the first 45 minutes allowed us to rest the main players for the upcoming matches. We will have a match with Estonia, which is a better opponent than today’s one, but we expect a victory in that match as well.”
Maja Jelčić scored three goals today and is optimistic about the continuation of the tournament:
“We expected a victory today and I hope that we will finish the tournament with maximum performance. We came here with a desire to qualify for League A and I believe that we will achieve that. Regardless of the fact that I scored three goals, I can certainly do better. It will probably be a harder match against Estonia, but we are not afraid of anyone and I believe that we will justify the role of the favourite here as well.”
Sydney Japić had a notable role in the BH team, and she is satisfied with what the team showed:
“We started strongly in this match from the beginning. We knew what we could expect from the opponent, we wanted to solve the match as soon as possible and that is exactly what we did. We played a great game as a team and in the end came to a convincing triumph. Although we achieved such a high victory, Armenia played aggressively, but our quality came to the fore. I expect a similar game from Estonia, but we will know how to respond and I believe that we will reach three points here as well.”
Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Armenia 13:0. Maja Jelčić scored three goals, Sydney Japić, Vanessa Šabanović, Marija Ana Milinković and Elma Huremović scored twice, while Almasa Pandžić and Elma Husić scored once each.
