Women’s U-19 national team ended its qualification with a defeat

 

The women’s U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated today in the Italian town of Abano Terme in the third-round match of Group 5 of the A League of qualification for the European Championship 2022.

The only goal for the BH team was scored by Elma Smajić in the 70th minute, while two goals for Hungary were scored by Glória Siber in the 6th and 44th minute, and one by Fanni Nagy in the 50th minute from the penalty spot.

The head coach Dragan Jevtić fielded the following squad today: Josipa Radoš, Lamija Duvnjak (83rd, Amra Omeragić), Elvira Hasanović, Sydney Japić, Almasa Pandžić (67th, Jovana Stevanović), Đuka Stojanović (90th, Ana Buhač), Elma Smajić, Naida Haračić, Magdalena Brtan (46th, Vanessa Šabanović), Farah Jusufović, Elma Huremović (90th, Sajra Handžić).

The BH female juniors finished the qualifications in the last place in the group without points, behind Italy which won 9, Hungary with 6, and Switzerland with 3 points.
