Head coach Ivan Kvesić reflected on the match: "Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result we wanted in this qualifying match against Romania. This tournament was played in February, a difficult period when we're still not in full competitive rhythm, which certainly affected our performance. Our game today was further complicated by the penalty, yellow cards, and later the red card. That made things much harder for us, but the players gave their best and fought until the end. I particularly feel for the 2008 generation, who put in an immense effort not just today but throughout this cycle. Their dedication, effort, and contribution must not be overlooked, and I want to thank them for everything they've done in this cycle. I also appreciate the coaching staff’s excellent collaboration and hard work. Despite this loss, we remain focused on developing our young players and looking ahead to future challenges."
Bosnia and Herzegovina finished second in the group with 3 points, behind Romania with 6, while Latvia ended the tournament without points.
