Match schedule of the UEFA Nations League

A futsal tournament for PWL clubs has started

The group stage of the futsal tournament for the clubs of the Premier Women’s League of Bosnia and Herzegovina were played today at the Bilmišće Hall in Zenica.

The matches of the tournament are also watched by members of the technical staff of the newly formed women’s futsal team, head coach Nijaz Mulahmetović, assistant coaches Vesna Njeguš and Amira Spahić, as well as goalkeeping coach Tomislav Bašić.

Head coach Mulahmetović points out that there is a lot of work ahead of the technical staff:

“So far, I have only watched these players play football, now for the first time I have the opportunity to watch them in a futsal tournament, where we have all the players who play in PWL in one place. This allows us to have a clearer picture of their capabilities on the pitch, although appearing in the tournament and playing for the national team are two different dimensions. Of course, we will need more time to gain real insight, but it is good that we started from something.”

Mulahmetović also added:

“In addition to the tournament, we will also need gatherings to see how the players work together. We have seen here that we have some very interesting players, who are carriers of the game in their clubs. We will see how they will fit into one new system and one new sport, because futsal and football are two different categories.”
